Parity Productions' 2023 Awards Ceremony & Celebration is the must-attend event for those who seek to champion gender parity in theatre and the development of compelling new works by women, trans, and gender-expansive playwrights. The highlight of the evening will be the announcement of our Parity Development Award Winners: two women, trans, or gender-expansive playwrights who demonstrate a dedication to the craft of playwriting and a singular talent for storytelling. The selected playwrights receive $2,500 each and extensive development support for their play, with an option for Parity to produce their work.
The evening will also feature a pre-screening of the filmed stage production of Liz Kerin’s 2018 Parity Development Award winning play, Stop-Motion!
100% of funds raised will support Parity’s critical work to amplify women, trans, and gender-expansive voices in the theatre and create career opportunities for women, trans, and gender-expansive artists.
